Anotther Friday night...

Yup should be busy this weekend. My parents gave me a bit of a break, so I have time to quickly Blog my pals. Got Casey dancing on my shoulder again. Man, he's hilarious! I try to spend as much time with the bird as I can because he gets tempermental when he doesn't get quality time. He'll be prone to biting your face or ear or finger. He bit my lip last week the little bugger. I put him in his cage and put him to bed early. Ignored him for a couple of days and he got the hint. Now he's sweet again. And dancing up a storm. Funny stuff.
I should have a blogger question, eh? What was your favorite pet growing up? What kind of neat tricks could your fave pet do? Love to hear your responses. Mine would have to be a Sheltie that a friend gave me. He was an older dog, but acted like a puppy. He went deaf so I trained him to respond to hand signals, then, as his health failed, with eye movements. He was an amazing dog in his youth apparantly. He was trained to be a therapy dog. He would go to the hospitals to cheer up the patients as well as the elderly in Long term care. He passed away in November 2004, after a brief struggle with bone cancer. I am thankful I was there til the end. I think that pets bring out the best in their owners. I still think of my boy and the joy he brought into my life. And yeah, I'm not ashamed to admit thinking of him brings tears to my eyes because even after all this time I miss him terribly. Do me a favor Blogger pals..hug your pet today...okay...if it's a goldfish I understand that it would an impossible task, so maybe get a pretty shrub or something for the aquarium. Okay, I know this is a wierd blog, but this is just stuff that came into my head and I thought I'd type it. Oh...anyone still reading the Blogs? Lets see a show of hands......um....okay...post a comment. Do me a favor...keep it clean eh?
I'm done. Type ya later.

Hi Stranger. Sorry for the lack of response from me recently - less than 6 weeks to the wedding. Need I say more?!

We have a huge rabbit called Brie. She looks like a wild rabbit except a lot bigger. We got her from a local animal sanctuary about four years ago. She was rescued from a meat market. Since we're both vegetarians, this seemed like quite a triumph.

Aww! You should post a pic of Brie...she sounds amazing! Glad you helped rescue her from being someones dinner. Hey, any wedding jitters yet? Got myself an invite recently to a friends wedding, so I will be attending hopefully. Weddings make me cry, but in a god way. I hope your wedding plans are going smoothly. Blog if you get a chance to Dave...love hearing about your life on the other side of the pond
Cheers!
