Another day in the Back Forty............

Hi All! I'm back for another Blog entry. This past week I had my baby sister visit me and it was a lot of fun. It was sad to see her fly out Monday, but I know I'll see her at Xmas...it's all good. Dad and I got back to town the same day and I was exhausted from the trip, but I finished cleanup for Mom so she could relax. Today, I checked the mail, and recieved another polite rejection from the Shaw Festival. Damn. No, not quitting my career...these rejections only mean that something better is on the way. Believe it or not, I have the wierd(to some anyways) practice of saving my rejection letters. It was said once that Jim Davies, the creator of Garfield had enough rejection letters to wallpaper his bedroom before he got famous. Many notable rejects in history. Albert Einstein apparantly couldn't talk until he was 4; Ben Franklin was considered a lost cause as a child, and Barbra Streisand was told she was ugly. My gut feeling has always been to stick with it. It's not that I don't have talent in this case...a lot of times in the biz it's people you know that get you work. So I will email those who have helped me, thank them for their efforts, and ask that they keep me in the know about work out west. At least I'm not starving. Thank God for that.
Good news though..they now have Kokanee beer in town. I am in heaven. MMMMMM....kokanee beeeeeer.
