Man, I hate freexing rain..
A cold day in the Back Forty...could be worse I suppose...I guess if I had to choose between freezing rain and oh about 3-4 feet of the white stuff, I'd take the rain. I managed to get a bit of time this evening to rest, so I thought I'd blog a bit, while listening to some super sweet tunes. Man, I just love music! Not country..I guess I could tolerate it if I had to, but not on my comp! Nope, my freinds, I love just about anything else, and I guess some eclectic stuff as well. But mainly if its a good tune and I can dance to it I'm cool.
A sad day for a family in town..they had a child who passed away today...the child was sick since birth, constantly going back and forth to the hospital for treatments and such, and was treated somewhat like a guinea pig. I went to deliver some food to the family on behalf of my parents, because they knew them very well, and when I got there, I could feel the sadness wash over me. I handed the food the childs father, and my heart broke when I saw the sorrow in his eyes. The atmosphere felt like a million broken hearts...not broken...I guess shredded to tiny bits. I wished I could have offered more words of comfort, but I don't know exactly what they're going thru. I do understand sorrow. The fathers eyes are still present in my memory....I will never forget. His child was severely disabled from birth. Mom says he's an angel now. I believe that we are all conected thru our souls, and that they are a part of God, but I also believe those who are born into this world with severe disabilities are closer to God than the rest of us able bodied folk. Mainly because I feel that perhaps thru their suffering, we learn about real love. The love those parents had for the child was so deep, I don't think I know of anyone else that could feel that much love. I later learned that the child died at home. Say a little mental prayer for the family..I know you don't know them, but as I've stated, they are connected to each and everyone of us thru the Creator, and I'm sure that the prayers will give some comfort in the days ahead. If you are not the religious type, then send good thoughts to those who are suffering. I don't have a Blogger question y'all...I apologize. Just know that I am thinking of all my Blogger friends and sending good thoughts and prayers to you too.
Have a happy weekend.
