A bit of a Setback, but the warm weather has made up for it...

I guess I booked too late for my driving exam..which means, my fabulous Blogger friends, that this Stranger will be taking her exam on June 1st. No matter..since I'll be using my moms Cadillac for the exam, it'll give me more time to get used to it. Hey, at least I'll be taking the exam in style!
Speaking of style, the warm weather as of late has inspired me to dig out my summer clothes and dress nicely. Now that I can afford to, which is fantastic! Plus since I last posted I've lost yet another 2 pounds! I am only 13 pounds from my goal! I love that I no longer have a stomach, and my butts gone down a few sizes too!! I have to say for a gal my age, I still look pretty darn spiffy!!I've been getting some really nice comments lately...and I feel good! Which is probably why I'm up early for once...
Mom and Dad went to Thunder Bay today, mainly to go look for a cage for our Alexandrine Parrott, Cosmo. We need a cage that can be carried easily out to the back deck. I think he'll like the nice weather outside during the day. Yesterday Mom took him out of his cage and brought him outside, and he lifted his wings like he enoyed the breeze thru his feathers..when she brought him back in, he wouldn't stop talking. It was cute.
So I sent my parents on a bit of a mission, and if they can accomplish it despite the fact they're anti-technology, I'll be amazed. A friend found a model of an MP3 player that had a 30GB hard drive, lots of other bells and whistles, and also had a small screen to view videos and movies. And I am paying for it..the puppy'll cost me $400+tax, but I wanted to get it for myself as an early birthday present. Now, some of my friends who know me would say,"Why are you getting it now, when you're birthday is 2 months away?" Well, Dad is heading back out West, and we won't be travelling any time soon. So I may as well get it now, cause I have a shitload of tunes I want to carry with me, because I plan on starting a serious exercise routine. So when I go for my walks I want tunes with me for motivation. So yeah..thats all I wanted for my birthday, and I don't want anything else. A "Happy Birthday" message will suffice.
Well, right now I don't have much else to report from my corner of the world...hmm...Blogger question? Since I'm talking about birthdays...what was the best birthday gift you've got so far? If all your gifts have been shitty up til now, then your ultimate birthday wish? For me, it'll be this MP3 player...please God...don't let the parents forget to stop by Future Shop...
Later!

Warmer weather...thank God!

Yup, the past few days, yours truly has been enjoying some nice weather, and if luck is on my side, this trend will continue! The snows almost completely gone, and hopefully the mud will dry up so people stop tracking the mess into the restaurant.
Got my tax return today...sooo happy! It was a nice big amount, so in the bank it went...I'm making the transition at the end of summer to moving back out West...possibly Lethbridge. I do have some wonderful friends out there that I like to be close to, and being here in the Back Forty has made me appreciate them all the more. Now my Blogger friends may be wondering...what if you run into your ex..Ostrich?? Lets just say he'd do the smart thing and stay away from me...if he values his "family Jewels" that is....lets say if he tries to talk to me, I'll turn and kick his tiny flaccid manhood so far into him he'll be choking on it. The reason I put this here my Blogger friends, is the fact that Ostrich has this perverse hobby of checking this blog and that of Zinky's from time to time. He's now been duly warned...when you see me, cross the street and avoid me. Its for your own good.
Anyhoo, in other news...I'm gearing up for my Drivers exam and today I went out with my Dads friend who helped me out on the finer points of parallel park. I must say, my attitude about driving has done a complete turnaround. I'm no longer fearful of driving...and I handle a vehicle quite well. In fact, I've noticed I drive better than my Mom, who has this habit of straddling the center line when we're on the highway. Kinda scary, especially after I point out the flaws in her driving, she retorts, "I pay taxes on both sides". Know anybody like that? Wow.
So the test is on the 27th...I should blog before I do the road test, but in the off chance I don't, then wish me loads of luck. I saw one of my fellow driving school classmates the other day who told me did no driving to practice and is just going to wing it. He's gonna need all the luck he can muster.
So yeah...said earlier I'm going to be back on my own again hopefully by the Fall. So far have saved up a sizable chunk of change. I put everything I earn in the bank. My goal is to have enough to move my gear, travel out west, have rent, damage deposit, all utilities, and have enough left over to buy some nice furniture and a vehicle of my own, and afford the insurance. I'm about a third of the way there. I love being single, and having coin! Sooo sweet! I anticipate some very busy summer months...which mean more money! Gotta love it. So I've been determined and its been really great.
Another thing thats been great too is I'm finally losing the last 20 pounds thats been hanging on for the last few years. The pants my mom bought just a week ago went from snug to loose. So I've been feeling more like my cute, sassy self. My friends would say..."its about friggin Time Stranger!!" Yeah, I know. Been fasting for Easter, which has accelerated the weight loss...no meat or dairy for 2 months...no people...I don't plan on being vegan permanently. But I have noticed my appetite has gone way down....I eat much smaller meals than I normally would, and I feel like when I do go back to a normal diet, I will be able to maintain my new weight.
Well, this has been my life since last I blogged...a big shout out to my friend Pinky...I miss you...why aren't you Blogging? Leave me a message or email me sometime. I worry about you.
Wayne...hope your life is going much better...I hope you'll get the chance to write some longer blogs. Don't work too hard, and I miss you.
Zinky...you rock gal! Please add another chapter to your blog...and email me sometime. Lots o love!
Dave..my Blogger pal on the other side of the pond...still sending prayers to your mom and you. Please post again soon!
Daddy'Girl...Thank you for leaving comments...I apologize if my language here is a bit harsh, young'un....am glad to hear from you...question tho...how can one leave a comment on your page now? Sorry, I'm not totally techno savvy yet...let me know, and keep on smiling! By the way, your blog on the video of STD's you had to watch in class....my condolences...as a young'un years ago, all we had was girls learning about menstruation in the gym, and the boys learning about whatever they taught the boys in their class. I am glad that they are educating young people on the dangers of unprotected sex...just think Daddy's Girl...you've always lived in a world with AIDS. I remember when it first came out, no one knew what the heck it was. A lot more fear back then too, not to mention a lot of misinformation. Anyhoo, I do check on ya from time to time...just a note to let you know.
Sarah...start a blog silly!
Flora...add a chapter to your Blog! I miss ya, and prayers are always sent to your mom...hope her ankle is healing completely now.
Brodie...email me sometime eh?
Well, I think I got everyone...Blogger question...what has the weather been like in your neck of the woods....please note..I'm not that hot on Farenheit (we use Celcius in Canada) so its ok if u use Farenheit, but put in brackets what it would be in Celcius. If you can't figure it out, then I guess I can forgive you.
Much much love and peace to my friends! Drop a line soon!
